The Importance of Understanding Word Problems

Students often find story problems challenging since there is a lot of information to process. This session focuses on different ways to help children think about and understand word problems. Learn specific strategies and questions to ask that help first graders think about problems critically and allow them to analyze solutions in relationship to the context in the story problem.
